Faroese Cake

An easy to make dessert, traditionally prepared by families on the Faroe Islands.

Always cooking and baking, people from Faeroe Islands have a large number of festivals and national holidays which engage culinary traditions. Special dishes are cooked to honour a number of follow days inlcuding: Olaifest celebrated on the 29th of July, New Year’s Day and Easter.

Ingredients
  • 1x Large Sponge Flan Case
  • 1 x 500 g Golden Marzipan
  • 300g Double Cream (ready to use)
  • 6 x Crunchie Bars
  • 1 x Medium bar of chocolate to grate
  • Small amount of Icing Sugar

  • Small Sharp Knife
  • 1 x Pastry Brush
  • 2 x Tablespoon or Dessert Spoons
  • Chopping Board
  • Round Plates
