Call for Trustees: Your Chance To Join the District Board

Date: 8th Apr 2024 Author: Richard Smith

If you’ve got a bit of time to spare, want to build your CV, or help give young people skills for life, why not become a Trustee?

Scout Association Trustees operate under the rules of the Charities Commission, within a Trustee Board structure at each Group, District and County level etc.

The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally. At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance. Effective Trustee Board governance helps our volunteers deliver fantastic programmes that give young people skills for life.

Blackdown District Scout Council is currently receiving applications from those interested in joining our Trustee Board. You can nominate yourself or someone you know, so long as you have their permission to do so. If you would like to learn more or apply, then please email the Chair of the Blackdown District Board of Trustees, chairman@blackdownscouts.org.uk

Please note that the deadline for applications is Friday 19th April 2024.
