West Hatch Scouts Caving and Hiking

Date: 13th Mar 2017 Author: Scout Websites
On Sunday 26th February 7 Scouts went underground at Goatchurch cavern, exploring under the Mendip Hills, tackling tight squeezes, teamwork and learning about cave formation and conservation.

West Hatch Scouts wish to thank to Marek Petela our caving leader from 69th Bristol (St Joseph’s) for his time and experience. All had a great time. Whilst one group caved another group undertook a short hike around the local area. Thank you to all the leaders and helpers who supported this activity day. If any other Troops wish to try caving please contact Duncan Biddulph duncan@biddulph.net ASL West Hatch Scout Group.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
