We are looking for an ADC (Cub Scouts) to work in partnership with the DC to ensure the effective operation of the Cub Scout Section in accordance with the rules as laid down by The Scout Association.

To support the ADC Cub Scouts in the effective operation of the Cub Scout section. A great alternative to a weekly group commitment.
The District needs to provide support for Section Leaders using Online Scout Manager, together with managing the District Dashboard. This role could be suitable for someone currently not in Scouting but with IT skills. It is a role that requires little or no direct contact with Young People.
The District has a small pool of adults who interview potential Leaders and those changing roles. These volunteers come from within Scouting, but also the wider community with ‘organisational’ or HR backgrounds.
To support the District Treasurer in maintaining the financial records for the Explorer Scouts, monitoring Gift Aid forms, preparing applications for claiming Gift Aid and preparing the end of year balance sheet. The role is suitable for someone wanting accounting experience or even someone who has retired from a finance role.
The crew is highly visible when helping with car parking at big events at the Campsite, but there are wide-ranging opportunities to support the site which are not always so high profile. For instance, on Wednesday mornings some members spend a couple of hours helping with site maintenance – no two weeks are ever the same! Tasks are definitely not limited to Wednesdays and we would happily see anyone any day if they can spare time for pruning back hedges, clearing leaves, repairing fences, painting, moving logs, etc. These are ideal roles for anyone who fancies spending some quality time in a lovely location! Please spread this around to anyone you know that has time on their hands!
